Subject:SFX play at wrong speed

I've been loading short event sound effects into acid as 16 bit 44.1K wav files. In the explorer preview window about 20% used to play vvveeerrryyy slowly when previewing and playing in the timeline. I adjusted the min & max timings for what file duration acid considers a "loop" and now all SFX preview at the right speed but some are still nearly half time when added to the project.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jesse

Sounds like the samples in question are un-ACIDized and ACID is trying its best to determine what tempo the samples best fit into.

If these samples don't have any definite pitch, change them to One-shots (via the clip/track properties); they're the only form of ACIDized audio that ACID does not stretch.

You can also use Sound Forge's ACID loop creation tools to ACIDize samples as well. (That way ACID won't even bother with trying as the ACIDized metadata will already be there.)
