I'm enjoying the puppybowl halftime show - no wardrobe malfunctions here!

And as much as I like Prince as a musician , I sure dont want to see his wardrobe malfunction!!
Go Da Bearsssss!

Watch for the aerial Budweiser ad. NDA precludes me from saying more, but it's brilliant. Think HDV.
Bear's'll lose, but I wish they wouldn't.

I'm surprised it wasn't more of a blow-out. The Bears sucked. They didn't belong there.

Now how can you say a team doesnt belong there? They beat everyone they had to get to the game. The Colts were the better team tonight but it doesnt mean the Bears dont belong there. Do you even follow football?

Enjoyed watching this weird game of yours - the ball was kicked maybe four or five times in the whole match - why is it called football?

Also - didn't like the trophy being presented to the Owner ahead of the players - then he had the gall to claim they had God on their side - UGH!!

Still, an interesting cross-cultural experience.

I grew up in Chicago. Many of my friends who still live there wrote this week and said there was no way 'da Bears would win. They had one of the easiest schedules of any team in recent memory.

Never saw Spots Bud commercial. I have the whole thing on disk, so if anyone saw it and can tell me what quarter it was in, I'll go back and look.

"Still, an interesting cross-cultural experience."

Tolerance is the answer to the future!

And this game "soccer". I don't see men hitting women on the field.

All in good jest, my friend!

It was good to see mostly HD commercials.
Too bad that half of all the commercials seemed to be for CBS TV shows.

I think the most powerful commercial was the American Heart Association one. Actually had a message, depicting lifestyle choices bad for your heart as villians.

Animated Chimp Bud commercial gets my vote.

Yes, I follow football, to a degree. So you're right, of course they belonged at the Super Bowl. It's just too bad they sucked so much when they got there. Simple observation.

I tuned in late just to see what the broadcast in HD would look like on my HDTV....
Couldn't figure out why everything looked so damned hazy at first, althought logos and overlays were crisp...
Took this "broad" a while to figure out that the long shots were getting hazy from the pouring rain which I couldn't really see for the first couple of minutes!
Pity all the folks who just got their new HDTVs with high hopes of super crisp football only to be 'fuzzed out' a by 'mother nature' ....and
I was ready to blame the cable company!

I guess if you get paid that much there are no "rainy" days off.....

Neither did we. It's not "Spot's vid" but rather Sandwich productions vid. And that's all I'm allowed to say. The NDA for the production group is large. We were told it was scheduled...but that was also back in late Dec.
Bummer.
Good game though. Man, I thought the Bears were gonna carry the game in the middle of the first quarter.
And of course, Prince just rocked...

Is it me or were the commercials this year pretty bad? Only a couple of laughs, lots of violence.
Grazie wrote on 2/4/2007, 11:33 PM

Peter, hysterical! And then these "chaps" say they can't see the point of Cricket!! Well, I ask you . . . teh!

Loved the game. Thought the CBs were gonna maul the Colts with that running game.

Hey, anybody remember Mr Ditka's sideline rants? I used to follow the CBs just for that!! - Anybody visited his restaurant? Next time I'm in The Windy I'm there. Last time it was "Carsons Ribshack" - how DO you guys EAT those portions?!??

fldave wrote on 2/5/2007, 4:49 AM
Grazie, Carson's ribs are great. I guess with a 30 below wind chill, it helps to keep moving (eating).

lol,, yep maybe four or five times too many ,, nothin worse than watching an american football game , a close game where the teams beat the pooey out of each other for four quarters, then the game is decided by a real football (soccer) player kicking a field goal.

I thought the Super Bowl was the Patriots VS Chargers. Even though the rain smudged up some lenses everything was sharp as a tac on my 1080P.

Ditka's resturant is two blocks from my place but I've never been to it (living for about 10 years in this area).

Bears just could not adapt/change tactics - it's seems to be their problem all the time, not enough flexibility. Oh, and I still call this game 'handball': where I'm coming from we call football what everyone here in US knows as soccer.
