hello i am considering purchaseing the cme vx series with motorized faders. i use acid(with 2 uad a 1 tc powercore) and reason. my purpose in buying the cme is for controlling the volumes and panning in acid 6.0 . acid is only bi-directional with mackie control(not hui) and frontier design wireless controller(cant think of the name). i bought a yamaha o1v 96 thinking it would work but it doesn't . will the cme work as good as the mackie control or does acid have to support this directly. thanx in advance check out pics of my studio at www.myspace.com/ozzborn |

I read through CME's description, but found no information as to any support for Mackie Control Emulation. If it does not support this, then the use of this device will be limited to ACID listening to it through the Generic Surface Control device driver ACID supplies. The support will be one way : From the keyboard to ACID. ACID will not be able to control any motorized faders or send state information back to the device. Peter |
