So I've read most of the posts regarding Vista compatibility with Acid 6.0 and based on the driver and installation heartaches described in several of these posts I too will elect to WAIT until compatibility with core software like MDSE, Norton etc., are working correctly. Sadly I have been excited and anticipating this release because I do like to use the latest stuff; I know that 's anathema to some of you but for the most part my experiences with early MS O/S versions have generally been pretty good; not perfect but good. That said it's clear that the various software manufacturers I use in my XP Media Center X64 box will encounter enough problems to make any benefit form the upgrade impractical. Thanks to all for the thoughtful cautions it would be nice though if Sony, Symantec, Presonus, and all the major music software and hardware vendors posted some kind of update on their websites indicating when their stuff would be fully compatible or not. This way one does not have to dive into the bowels of user forums like this one in order to hear the truth so to speak. Thanks one and all. My DAW is working pretty well and though Vista would be a fun addition I'll give it some time just to make sure all is well because there is no easy uninstall from Vista once one commits to using this OS.
