I am no longer able to record "disc at once or track at once" CD's or extract from CD...
acid 6b no longer can find my CD burner. I have tried checking and unchecking
the automatically detect cd player from general preferences with no luck....Soundforge still does detect the burner and will burn cd's. When choosing the burn CD tab the box showing the drive says "No Device' . It used to work fine. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Did you try completely uninstalling 6.0b and installing the 6.0d update? (It acts as a full version provided you have your serial key handy.)

I am a little concerned about updating...tried with Acid C and had to do a system restore back to B as it didn't work. 6b seems to be working fairly well with only occasional freezing...(though much more than acid 5 ever did). Oddly enough disabling the Auto Save from prefs stopped much of the freezing..only now if it freezes there is no backup....still trying to get acid 6 to locate my cd/dvd burner .....
any help is appreciated.
I am running an athlon 64 dual 3800...with windows xp media center....
2 gigs of ram..
thanks

Hello, I've had this problem for months and have been unable to burn my projects to cd. I can load music onto my computer with other programs like itunes & Windows media player but Sony Acid 5.0 will still not detect my cd player. Did you ever get a solution that worked?

I used Windows add/remove Program to remove ACID & Microsoft SQL service, then reinstalled ACID and it recognizes both of my CD burners now. Problem solved, for now.
