TMPGEnc Plug-in ???

I have Vegas version 5 + DVD. I recently have purchased TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 and would like to know if I can attach this encoder as a plug-in. Currently I have to encode my edited files to AVI then render to MPEG format using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. I am wanting to use TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 from within Vegas 5.0, can this be done?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm not sure if TMPGEnc becomes an option in rendering in Vegas, but I think you could use it via frameserving from Vegas to VirtualDub.

You can use the free Debugmode Frameserver which feeds a temporary intermediate rendered AVI bit by bit to TMPGEnc Plus so you don't need to create a large AVI first.

I've used this between Vegas 5 and TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 a few times and it works well. Personally in Frameserver I just call the temporary file "frameserver.avi", I select RGB24 as the format and have a tick in "Write audio as PCM samples in signpost AVI".
