I can't render separate VST tracks. For example, I create a new project with just one VST track (Korg legacy instrument). The VST output goes to the Master bus. Then I create an empty audio track where I want to record the VST. I switch on Record on the new audio track and I play the track, and there is no input into the Audio track. Am I missing something here? The manual doesn't explain clearly... how does one record a VST into an audio track?

OK, this was stupid of me but I just realized that AP doesn't have a way to route VST output directly into an audio track. You have to solo the track and render it, then import the rendered audio into the project.

It's my fault for using "other" software, basically any sequencer in the world lets you do this much easier. Whatever...

That works fine, like I said I can render the VST tracks this way. However, it would be handier if AP allowed what the other sequencers allow: creating new audio tracks, setting their input to come in from a bus and then enabling their record function. That's how it works in Cubase, ProTools and Live. Internal audio routing...

We will review this for a future version of ACID. You should submit this as a feature request.
