Subject:Editing clip with SoundForge

Hello,

I have an audio track with 3 audio clips (3 microphone takes, recorded separately).

When I select a clip and edit it in SoundForge from Acid 6.0d, the selected clip is NOT loaded in SoundForge but the active "paint" clip is loaded instead.

Is this behavior normal or does it need an improvement ?

I am not seeing this behavior. I added a clip to a track. Then dropped a second clip on the track. The second clip is not the active paint clip. I can go back to the first clip, right-click and select Edit Clip > Edit in Sound Forge and I get the clip I clicked on. I can do the same with the other clip. What version of ACID? I'm using ACID Pro 6.0d.

Thanks JohnnyRoy.
Indeed, the way you describe works (with the contextual menu by right click).

However, I was editing by selecting a MIDI clip and choose "Edit" from the "Tools" menu. That method does not load the selected clip but the active paint clip. Normal or not, I don't know.

Ummm, you can't edit MIDI in Sound Forge. I would guess what's happening is that maybe ACID is rendering the MIDI clip that's painted on the screen to WAV and letting you edit that. Perhaps?

Thanks for reading.
Yes, I've made a mistake in my latest post, it's about an AUDIO clip, not a MIDI clip... Sorry... ;)
