i am considering purchasing faderport because acid does not support the hui emulation in my yamaha o1v mixing board. i am wondering if its supported. the faderport looks like the right size for me to put on my console. if you go to my myspace page you can see pics of my setup . i dont think you can post pics in this forum thanx in advance www.myspace.com/ozzborn |

Neither the faderport or the similar Frontier unit are supported. I checked on this a few weeks ago and Peter replied no, but they would consider it for future versions. Oh well . . . |

You could always just get a Behringer BCFand a cheap labeler from an office suppy store. It's the same price as a faderport. Transport buttons work perfectly although in order arm a track and record you have to hold down a shift key also which turns it into a two handed operation. For basic transport use, entering automation data and controlling plug-ins the BCF works perfectly with Acid. The only other drawbacks are that the motorized faders are not touch sensitive and in order for the virtual scribble strips to really work well you have to center the BCF directly under your monitor. |
