Which budget Mics for - 1) Voice Over 2) Band -Sound Forge - PC

Please suggest mic's for... 1 - Voice Over Work 2 - Band & Vocal recording in a small studio Please suggest budget mic's first... and some industry standards second. We will take that info and our small budget... and then decide where to go budget and where to go with a more standard/expensive approach. thanks for any help.

Works great for vocals and can also be used for instrument recording. I actually have a voice-over studio (mostly radio and video work is on the upswing). I regularly used a (and own) a Rode NT1 and an AKG C414 B-XLS which have now been shelved in favour the C3. http://www.studioprojects.com The price is right...and you get all the response and presence you need. I actually do regular radio work with the C1 which is VERY good for male vocals and EXCELLENT for female vocals and speech. As for more standard/expensive mics...honestly...the C3's will fit the bill. I tried one looking for a cheap mic to use at live locations. I was impressed enough to use it for pretty much all my applications (and if one gets bonked out on the road, then I can replace it because it's just so darn cost effective).

When you are all done laughing remember it costs about $100. Jeff B.
