I need some help! I installed 2 250 harddrives and now am having problems with vegas. I kept my original booting drive which has the program on it. When I pull film (old ones previously on my computer, not captured since changing hard drives) into a new vegas file and try to pay it i get the following message...Playback device modem #0 line playback does not support the current output formats and also the message playback device modem #0 line playback does not exist. I'm not good with computers so you really have to spell out what I need to do. Thanks in advance for your help. Debbie |

Wow. Debbie, i think you've just set the new record for the most bizarre problem i've seen in these forums so far. ;) I'll admit up front i don't know how to solve your problem. I'll ask a few questions that might help bringing in the necessary clues though. What sound card were you using? Did you change your sound card when you added the drives? Do you have more than one sound card (including what may have been built in) in your computer? Is your modem a "voice modem"? My guess is that your system, for whatever reason, is trying to use the audio output section of your voice modem, but it's either an older model that doesn't support high level audio signals, or the drivers installed for it were never intended for high quality audio. Perhaps some software you installed with the drives did something bad and changed other driver settings. Maybe when you installed the drives you knocked your sound card loose and the system doesn't recognize it anymore. Maybe some cable is shorting out on the sound card. If you think you normally use a sound card other than your voice modem you could check the output hardware settings in ACID and make sure it's set to use your good sound card. Good luck! Keep us posted and we'll figure this one out for ya. |
