Please Help. New to the forum but I've gotten lots of help from just reading other posts.

My ACID Pro 6.0 crashes a lot with upgrades 6.0c and 6.0d. When I had 6.0b I was not getting these errors a lot. Is there a way to delete upgrades 6.0c & 6.0d and download upgrade 6.0b only?

My ACID Pro crashes a lot during recording vocals and it's pissing off a lot of friends and clients.

Do a search of the forum I think there was a link to it somewhere.

Could you write down a "step by step" repro of how you are getting these crashes? Have you updated your soundcards driver? What does your projects consist of track wise when it crashes?

Sorry I haven't seen any crashes or lockups when I record my guitar takes with guitar rig 2 as a plugin.

Here it is:

You can download v6.0b from here:
ftp://download.sonypictures.com/archive/acidpro

The Sony updates are full installs. So what you would do to roll back to 6.0b is to uninstall v6.0c then reinstall 6.0b. Then you will need to re-register the 6.0b install.

Make sure to delete the "sony setup" folder in Programs>>Sony setup>>acid pro 6...then reboot...then reinstall and reregister.

Though if you can before doing so could you describe your crashes so that they can be bug hunted and fixed.

Thanks.

Happy New Year!!!!

Thanks for the link and help!

Next time it happens I'll copy the error details and send them in.

Then I'll revert back to 6.0b :)

I too was having problems with version C in that the audio would get all choppy and the only way around it was to randomly disable tracks (audio sometimes and MIDI/VSTi at others) until the glitching stopped.

I reverted back to version B and all the songs I'd had problems with played back fine.

This is the first time I've had an issue with any updates to Acid. I've pretty much installed the latest versions as soon as they came out going right back to Acid Pro 2.

Haven't gotten around to trying version D yet though.
