Subject:Rendered sounds different

I'm mastering my stuff and finding that although I render as a 44,100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo PCM wave file, it sounds different - less spacious - worse! than when I listen as playback in Acid 6. I can't find the culprit! Help!

What is your project set to? 48K, 96K? If you change the render settings to be different from your project it will sound different. Otherwise if your project is at 16/44.1 then the render should sound like the project.

It's at 16/44.1 - and does sound different. Perplexed....
