Sigh... I can't figure out how to do something that should be very simple. I merely want to play imported karaoke tracks and record my vocals on them. I can import the track and drag it up to the top, but I can't get it to play so I can record on it. When I hit record it just plays one of those backbeat tracks that already come loaded with the program. I can listen to my imported track in preview but I can't get it to play so I can record my vocal on it. What am I doing wrong? Can someone explain to an idiot the simple steps to get this done? |

I looked at your previous posts, so I have some questions. 1. What version of acid are you using? 2. What is your microphone/sound card set-up? 3. When you see the track in the preview window, and you double click on it, do you get the beatmapper window? Put your system specs in your profile, and you'll help us help you. |

"I can import the track and drag it up to the top, but I can't get it to play so I can record on it. Did you paint or draw an event/clip on the track? (Use the Paint Tool and then while holding down Ctrl, click where you want the event to start.) The latter half has me puzzled. The only thing I can think of that would cause that is the metronome. Iacobus |
