A random way to crash 6.0c on my system...
create a loop region
Perform tweaks on enevelopes
zoop in and out while moving to different areas within the loop region

Acid crashes -- I know it will be tough to reproduce but did happen repeatedly.

Thanks
Kevin

My project has around 50 tracks, 15.5 min., midi/audio mix. Using several instances of NI Kontakt 2.2, GuitarRig2, and one instance of Jamstix 1.71, FX... some Sony some Waves. All my drvrs are current and I'm using MCU and Tascam US122.
I guess I have come to accept crashes as I have hair loss. There is no editing I do be it envelopes, adjusting FX, positioning clips on the time line, copying, pasting, whatever...after any adjustment I make, I select SAVE before I touch the PLAY button to listen to the change. Many times that is when AP crashes... the menu line goes blank and I get the error msg "program not responding'. I have rendered all midi to audio to try to reduce the cpu load. Ram usage is about 29/2000.
Now...something new with 6c is the Sony report error msg box to ms... but I see it splash on the screen then the system reboots so I do not get to respond to the Sony msg.
Microsoft crash anaysis either cannot determine the cause or says the stop error was caused by a dvr. Recently, I experienced several cashes where ms crash analysis reported that a thread had gotten stuck in the video drvr?? or something along those lines, it's been a few days since that issue.
Also, if I use the MCU as it is designed to be used, i.e. zooming in and out, using the jog wheel extensively, punching in/out several times... this will usually lead to a crash.
More info...when I say crash I mean I have to close down AP because it is not responding...once closed the system reboots itself then I get the ms msg "sys has recovered from a serious error...."
One other item I should mention, when I draw an area to zoom in on, AP6c does not always zoom to the area drawn like previous versions.
Well, now almost all of it is out there for everyone to see... hopefully, some good will come of it.

It is a sad reality -- but the newest version just makes me sad. ACID has so much potential. It should be mature enough to sustain basic operations without crashing.

But wait -- here is 6.0D -- let us see how it goes

Kevin
