Digitizing: ADS Pyro A/V link with SF 8? -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Digitizing: ADS Pyro A/V link with SF 8? Posted by: Pod Date:12/2/2006 12:23:00 PM I have some old 4 Track Cassettes that I'd like to capture SF. I have an ADS Pyro A/V link that I use for capturing analog Hi 8 in Vegas. I'd like to use it to capture the audio of the cassettes directly into Sound Forge 8 but the A/V link is listed as a camera in the device manager of XP and I can't access it through SF. For the video I use the Sonic Foundry Video Capture 2.0h. While I can capture audio from cassettes through this mode it also captures a blank video track. Any way I can have A/V link show up as an audio source in the record mode of SF? Searches and manuals have me coming up empty. Thanks --John

As soon as you finish a capture open the file in either Vegas or Sound Forge and render/save to a .wav file. Then you can delete the captured .avi file to free up drive space.
