Hi, When I drag EZ drummers midi grooves on to the 6.0 timeline, the very first beat isn't visible and dosent play. Easily fixed by slightly shortening the previous clip and extending the clip to the left to make first beat visible / audiblr, but a pain. Any ideas ? Regards Paul |

What 6.0 version are you using? Early ACID 6 versions had some issues with EZD (EZD was first released several months after ACID 6), but were subsequently fixed in later updates. Drap & dropping from EZD's Groove Librarian to the ACID timeline is working fine for me in ACID 6c. MID clip is fully visible, all the beats play and the the clip is already loopable. I have found that EZD actually works pretty well in ACID 6c. I use it all the time now. I even created ACID 6 multi-track templates and drum maps, for the following kits, if you are interested: Pop/Rock Cocktail Vintage Rock EZX Just open a multi-track template (say Vintage Rock) and all the buses/routings/drum map and the kit itself all load automatically. Great for adding a little Plate 140 to the snares (via an extra bus) or putting some 1176LN on the kick bus. Yes, it's that EZ ! ;-) Cheers, Billy Buck Message last edited on12/3/2006 7:01:09 AM bybillybk. |

Hi Billy and thanks, I'm on 6.0c. Had a bit more of a play. If I delete the clip and just draw/paint again it seems to play works fine. In fact it only misses the first beat sometimes so I think i'll just live with it. would like a copy of those templates, the Drum Maps especially. my email is paul.adams@freenet.co.uk. Havent got Vintage Rock EZX yet but thats only a matter of time (and cash) Paulie |

Hi! I'm a new EZ drummer user, just fired up the latest versions of ACID (6.0d) and EZ Drummer (1.04). and I had the exact same problem...but only for beat 1.0... if I dragged the groove to somewhere later in the time line...the first beat was there. So far that's the only problem I found. I'll keep playing around with it. Later! David |

I played with it a little more...and it seems that some of the grooves have the first beat cut off of the single measure...and at the end of the measure the beat is there (just barely). It's as if the beat/groove was chopped just a tad bit to the right during production (not sure exactly how they were made..). Is this an ACID problem or an EZ Drummer problem? |

Hi Peter, thank you very much for taking time to look into my problem. Here's the steps to recreate it: 1. Create new Acid project 2. Insert MIDI track...change softsynth to EZD 3. I navigate to EZD Groove: POP/ROCK -> Groove 01 -> 01. Hats 4th Hard Closed and drag that to the track. 4. The first Kick beat is missing from the groove (visual and audio)... but you can hear the Kick at the end of the measure (But not see it on the screen). 5. If I drag the groove to a different measure (say 3) it does the same thing...BUT if I stretch (paint) the clip just a bit to the left...the Kick beat shows up right where it's supposed to, and plays fine. 6. I also tried it with groove: POP/ROCK -> Groove 10 -> 04. Same thing. Just tried a few more, and they all do it. This is more serious than I thought. Any info on how to fix this? THANKS!!! David |

Quick update... Just wanted to let you know that if I select the midi groove in the paint clip selector...I can paint the groove on just fine. Just like the original person posted on this forum. |

Make sure you guys have the latest version of EZ Drummer as well. There were some update fixes to EZ Drummer that fixed this among other things. |

Hi do, Folks. Sorry I'm late to this party. I had this same problem last week with my very 1st AP6/EZD project. I did find a reason. Everytime I added an EZD clip the "Start Offset(samples)" of that clip would increase beyond zero for some reason. You can right click the clip, select "Properties" and you'll see this value setting. The more clips you have on a track the higher that value gets changed (go figure). Anyone know why???? Anyways, once this value was reset to zero all is cool. But I have a new problem now concerning punching-in....which I will open a new post for. |
