Subject:Disable Media Center?

Can anyone walk me through the basic steps on how to disable Media Center from my computer? I'd like to have the features of XP Pro, and I heard this was better for recording audio. I'm now starting to run into problems with Media Center that I haven't seen prior. Any help is much appreciated.

I've heard that you can disable some features in Windows XP Media Center but I'm not sure how as I've had no experience with that version. Have you tried contacting Microsoft's support?
