I have about 10 cassette tapes of early music that I want to digitize and re-master. The songs are very good but the original recordings are of poor quality. All that was used was a 4 track cassette recorder. Can you think of any software that could improve them? Maybe Waves or iZotope Ozone or something already in Sonar or Soundforge 8. Thanks Gary |

Noise Reduction and a HF exciter could help, aside from the usual mastering process'. EQ, Comp/limit ect.. Ozone has a HF exciter, I don't know about Noise Reduction. The Waves plug-ins are overpriced in my opinion, but they ARE good. |
