I'm getting some kind of interference when I try to record external audio. I'm using ACID Music Studio 6.0 with a Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum sound card. I keep getting a pulsating electronic sound on the recorded track, always the same tempo, and whatever audio I recorded plays back too slowly. You can't hear it when you're recording and it doesn't usually affect the level meters on the recording monitor. Also, if I just hit record but don't actually play anything into the soundcard, the track plays back silence, as expected. The interference only happens when I actually send a signal to the software. I also have Cubasis and Sonar on the same computer, but they record with no troulbe. I had a similar problem with Acid Express, but resolved it by plugging my CRT monitor into a different outlet. ACID Express continues to work just fine. Could ACID Express be interfering with Music Studio? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Hmm. As far as the recorded audio goes, did you try unchecking the "make new track follow project tempo" option in the Record dialog?

I'm not sure what's going on with the interference and why ACID seems to be exploiting it. If possible, you could try placing the Audigy as far away as possible from the other devices in your system.

Unchecking the option turns your recording into a One-shot (which is the only ACIDized form of digital audio that ACID does not timestretch in any way). Otherwise, it becomes Beatmapped.
