I want to record vocals over my mix but I don't want the mix included in the recording. How do you isolate the sound while recording the vocals. ( I am using acid pro 6)

Thanks Jay R.

I am using headphones, but when I press the record button in acid 6 It picks up the entire sound, and it includes everything in the mix. I would like to have only the recorded vocal be recorded, while I am using the mix.

Try knowledge base article # 640 I'm hearing part of my audio project bleed into my vocal track. How can I fix this?. The problem is that you are recording the wav output of your sound card and NOT just the mic input. This is unique to your sound card. You need to make sure you are only recording the mic and not all the output of the card.
