Hello, I was wondering how to take a midi file and after importing it into Acid Music Studio 6.0, replace the midi tones with DLS Soft Synth instruments.

Answered your post over on the DMN forums. Unless the MIDI file has embedded program change events you should be able to just open the MIDI file and assign different instruments in the DLS soft synth to different MIDI channels and it should be saved with the project.

Yes, thanks, you were right....I didn't realize there were "embedded program change events" that kept reverting back to the original instrument of the midi file. Deleted those in list editor and now everything is good...
