Subject:easiest way to split and save tracks

After reading the manual, it appeas to me there are several ways for me to split up an event and save it as separate tracks (which I need to do for transferring my vinyl). Which of these methods is easiest and fastest?

1. After splitting the event, I highlight an individual event and use the "save as loop region only" into a new format?
2 After splitting, I copy a highlighted event and use the chopper to "chop into new track"?
3. After splitting, I just manually cut everything that I don't want and then render the remaining into a new file, repeating that process for each section?

What I really want to do may not be possible (but is possible with Audacity): i.e., I want to export one entire split-up event into separate files, with one click of a button. Is there a way to do this that I have not discovered? If not, which method is best?

If it makes a difference, my end goal is to save one version of everything in WAV format and then one version of everything as MP3 (for transfer to itunes).

edit: I forgot to mention that I'm using Music Studio 6.0

I dont know much about music studio...I use Acid pro.
But option '1' sounds good.

For rendering different parts of an event with one click I mostly use Vegas video.
With vegas video you can use regions like markers, put start and end points on the track then batch render it with batch rendering script.
