i have my keyboard(yamaha, has midi) plugged into my computer through a usb device i bought to link the two. I am having trouble when i press the keys on the keyboard they stall and stick. I can only hit one key at a time. Can anyone direct me as to how i would be able to play in full without any lag.

Since you didn't fill out your profile we have no way of knowing what audio hardware you are using so it's hard to say. Get yourself a low latency audio card that has ASIO drivers and this problem will go away. (anything from M-Audio or Echo will do, stay away from Creative/EMU)

You might try installing the free ASIO4ALL driver. It will do in a pinch to get your latency much lower than the stock motherboard drivers will.

Are you using ACID Music Studio 6.0b? The 'b' update is the latest. You should not be getting sticking keys. Have you tried another Soft Synth? Do they all have sticking keys?

i do have the Acid music studio 6.0, yes that is what i am using. What is the 'B' update? . Basically what i am doing is inserting or pulling up the soft synt and when i press a key on my keyboard it just stays pressed down and sticks for like 5 seconds. i did do the download and it shows up but it doesn't show the USB Audio. It only says "conexant ac-link audio"
