Sorry to ask this in such august company, but this is really giving me fits. I'm trying to MIDI into MS 6.0 a VST Instrument, Akoustik Piano from Native-Instruments, from my Roland FP5 Keyboard and I'm setting up the audio driver as Creative ASIO, which is what is suggested because of it's low latency. But firt let me mention that when I use the Akoustik Piano as a standalone with the keyboard and the Creative ASIO driver, it works like a champ..barely an perceptible latency. Now using the plugin I always get an error message than I can't use the Creative ASIO driver because MS 6.0 can't sample the bit rate. I find this hard to believe. I have a high-end Alienware box that ought to be able to handle anything and a Creative labs Audigy 2 ZS that ought to do the same. Let me add that I'm using a USB2.0 MIDI interface directly from the Roland and not a third-party. Anyone have a suggestion for a rookie in this sort of thing? Mmm...what resolution and sample rate are you using? If memory serves, Music Studio can only do 16-bit/48 kHz max. Iacobus |

The Creative ASIO drivers do not support 44.1 kHz. You must set your project to 48 kHz in ACID to use the Creative ASIO drivers. If you plan on using the Creative ASIO drivers always, then you should tell ACID to always start projects at 48 kHz. Peter |
