Hi, I'm trying to reduce the volume of just the left side of a bunch of stereo files using the batch converter. It appears this isn't possible using the Volume process. Any suggestions how I can do this in the batch converter? Thanks! dogdrum |

You could probably try using the channel converter and create a preset in there, and then call up the channel converter with that preset in the Batch converter. So let's say for example that you want to reduce the Left side by -6dB and have the Right side be the same as it is. In the Channel converter do this....I'll refer to the 4 faders as Faders 1-4 where fader #1 is the furthest to the left and we're reading from Left to Right. So set Fader#1 = -6dB Fader#2= 0.0dB Fader#3=0.0dB Fader#4=-Inf Save that as a preset called Left Channel -6dB. If you want to change to a different level then just adjust Fader#1 and leave the rest the same. Remember to make a preset, because you'll need that when you call up the Batch converter. Let me know if that works out for you, that's about the only thing I could think of without having the ability to actually select the data on the left only. Another option would be to find some kind of Pan plugin FX, that has a 'balance' function. I think Gpan by Gsonic or something like that has the ability to make adjustments on one track only, so that could be an option also. Message last edited on11/17/2006 11:14:44 PM byBradlyMusic. |

Cool! The Channel Converter looks like it will do the trick! But in your example I think the faders need to be the following instead... F1 = -6.0 dB F2 = -Inf. dB F3 = -Inf. dB F4 = 0.0 dB Thanks! |
