Subject:HELP! SF 8 constant crashing!!!

I made the mistake of upgrading to version 8. I can't open any sound files without the following crash. I need to be working RIGHT NOW and I am dead in the water.
Someone please help. Version 6 worked flawlessly.

Well, nice to know I can dispute the credit card charge anyway.
Google shows that Sound Forge is ruined since Sony stepped in.

Nonsense. There are plenty of happy Acid and Forge users who will dispute this claim.

For the record, SF8 works fine on my machine and plenty of others. Doesn't help your immediate problem, but does show that there is nothing wrong with it.

Make sure you download and install the latest update (8.0d).

What audio drivers are you using?
