What's your computer setup? I know V7 with the new Core 2 Duo offers a significant increase in render times.

Not looking for that type of solution to the problem but thanks anyway.

I was just curious. Do all their choices have equally long render times, or just a few select filters?

I don't see "War Epic" in the choices that came with V7, although I remember seeing it in other versions.

From the limited experiance I have with them then they do vary in rendering influence.
I can't answer about any of the 7-stuff since I can't afford it right now.

You might want to take a look at David Jimerson's Celluloid and the ReelPaks for movie looks. David has recreated many of the classic movie looks in 5 add-on packs called ReelPaks. These use native Vegas FX, render a lot faster and give you very similar looks. You can download and try some for 15-days risk free.

I guess you are refering to the Magic Bullet plugin. There appears to be a new (full) version available from the Red Giant software people that I would think you could upgrade to.

Magic Bullet info

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will get a sense of the speed increases when using specific nVidia cards in your system. In fact, they use Vegas 6 for the graphs.

BTW - I've not used the full version or had any experience with any render speed increase myself -- I'm just passing on the info ;-)

My question was mayby not properly stated or something but what I am looking for is something reasonably similar to the Epic War Dark plugin in the Magic Bullet Movie Looks but using the standard plugins available in Vegas. Thanks//Garo

you can come close,, make a snapshot of a frame with the magic bullet effect , then use everything and anything in vegas to try and dup it,, some ingredients are color curves, color corection ,levels, glow, chroma blur ,you just have to find the recipe
good luck !!

he beat me to it. But you can use the Vegas FX to get pretty close results & it renders a LOT faster. Can't always do it but with some playing you can.
