Just one question. I own Cakewalk Music Creator 3, along with Acid Music Studio. Does anyone know why I have so many problems with "dropouts" of audio when I'm in Music Creator, but when I'm in Acid, there's nothing. I've owned the prouduct for 3 months, and never once had any audio drop out. |

Can you please tell us what's the name of your soundcard ? Because "Microsoft Wavetable GS Synth" is the name of the "virtual" Midi processor you selected in the Control Panel of Windows. Maybe an AC97 ? Or a Creative Audigy ? Dropouts are most of the time related either to the fact that you didn't enable DMA for your HDD, or from a bad memory module (not very common, but it happens), or your audio card is not handling it (then you will need a "semi-pro" or a professional audio card like M-Audio, RME, etc...). |

My soundcard was a sigmatel audio, but not anymore. I purchased the Lexicon Lambda and that I use for both recording, and playback. This is a semi-pro recording interface. I shouldn't be having any problems with dropouts in Cakewalk, unless its a CPU memory thing? |

Err... You're having dropouts with Cakewalk and not with Acid ? How is this issue related with Sony products to you ? |

because I thought it was a little odd that one DAW worked fine. and another didn't. Wanted to see why this was. It was a more a compliment than anything. To Acid that is. |

If I got you right : Cakewalk works just fine, Acid does not. Well, everytime I have these kind of issues, I just uninstall and then re-install my audio drivers. Can you do this and keep us up ? |
