Subject:audio tracks aren't in time together! why?!

I'm new to the program, and have ran into some problems. my audio tracks that i record, aren't in time together, the second track will start to lag behind the first, as do the rest of the tracks i try to record.
both tracks are being recorded through the same pre-amp, which is plugged into the microphone input on my computer.

does anyone have ANY advice at all on how to fix this?? i wanna record!!

What kind of tracks are they being turned into? Beatmapped? Loop?
