Subject:Acid pro 6c Chopper issue

Have just installed 6c and find that when I click on certain clips and bring them up in the chopper window to browse different takes contained on the original track - I no longer have access to the contents at the end of the original track - I see wave form but the cursor bounces off it - it won't play the stuff basically - I didn't have this problem in 6b. I could audition any material in the chopper window from a clip's originating track.
Am I missing something stupid or have the rules changed slightly?

havent used the chopper in 6.0c yet but i just checked and had the same behaviour
weird thing is that the length of the un-selectable region seems to vary from loop to loop.
however, if i select some other loops and start selecting the chopped area from the right hand side it seems to be working again after a few tries

but only as long as this project is open; if you open another project you have to fiddle around to get it working properly again

I can also confirm this problem, even with a short Acid Loop from Sony.

This causes a real problem for me.

Arrggh! Where can I download 6.0b so that I can do a rollback???

I would encourage you to contact Sony via phone and email and demand that they make AP 6.0b available on the site. Its reprehensible that an update would have more serious bugs than the previous version but evidently this is the case with 6.0c. In the future, I'd suggest that when you download an update, burn it to disc so that you have the rollback option. Frankly, unless you enjoy beta testing, I'd wait for at least a couple of weeks before installing ANY update and monitor the forum closely. This strategy has saved me from a great deal of unnecessary frustration.

I'm sure that Sony will ammend those issues this week.

You're right about the 'betaness' of a new update. I succumbed to the christmas morning opening the new presents syndrome. I'll try to get in touch with them.

I agree. Acid is certainly one of the better supported products in the audio world and Peter, your involvement here is much appreciated from this corner too...
