Subject:Defaulting to 1 Shot instead of loop mode

I have have found that I usually can get much better sound quality in ACID if I do all my tempo matching outside of ACID in programs like Recycle and Reason, and then just open up files as one-shots instead of the default loop mode. Is there any way to set ACID to load up files as one-shots by default instead of loop mode while selecting files from the explorer window? I could have sworn I was able to do this on earlier versions, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it in ACID Pro 6.0a now.

Options > Preferences > Audio on the menu bar. Under, "open files as loops if between," set the leftmost value higher than the default half a second. (This setting will affect any future un-ACIDized media you add to a project, so keep that in mind.)

Remember that this only affects samples at the project level. If you want to save these changes to the media itself permanently, you'll have to go into the clip properties and use the save icon.

Also, if you have Sound Forge, you can use its Special > Edit ACID Properties command to also permanently apply One-shot ACIDization to a file.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I've already tried this, and oddly it doesn't seem to be doing it. Even if I set the lower value to say 300 seconds and the higher value to 301 seconds, if I double click on a loop, it always still loads it up in loop mode, not one-shot.
