Cakewalk Music Creator was a nightmare. Acid Music Studio is incredibly simple, and effective. I was able to render 15 audio tracks to one main track, and than render save as a WMA all in under 5 minutes. Amazing. Designers really did an amazing job, as far "efficency" is concerned. Sorry for rambling.

While I use various tools at different times, I'm a recent convert to ACID. I've used Fruity Loops, Project 5, and even Kinetic (I was desperate to find something that was fast and easy). I've never felt like Looping was really a viable alternative for project music...until I used ACID. It's clearly THE tool (and let's face it - it's the ORIGINAL tool for acidized loops)...they've got it down to a science. I can get a cue list in the morning and have working cuts finished before dinner. Now I just need to build up a library of loops... (-:

I used to have to open a new audio track, set the soundcard and mixer settings, highlight all the tracks needed to be bounced to the new track, and than wait...and wait. It was terrible. This software was well worth the money. I usually use Cakewalk Music Creator for the MIDI contruction though. Really easy to draw up thingsd on the Piano Roll, and I love the synths they offer. I think they might have acid there, but than again- very minimal difference indeed.
