Yes, the DR60 is already Vegas-compatible.

One thing I've noticed is that this drive like the rest of them continues to stick with FAT32 which can lead to glitches when long recordings are split over multiple files. Hopefully this one is glitch free!

I asked several different vendors at NAB why they presist with this and after the blank stares I got some silly answer like "It's the only thing that Macs and PCs can read". Well NO, we can both read NTFS and HFS and I wouldn't care if the dang things were HFS even, anything but FAT32, yish.

Anyways Sony twisted our arm and we've ordered one. Wish they'd find a better way to mount it, neither of the two options seem overly robust.

I can't IMAGINE a decent reason for sticking with FAT. Heck, MS would have dropped NTFS too, if they hadn't had so many problems developing Vista.

NTSF is quite dated, but FAT is ANCIENT.
