In Sound Forge versions through 7.0 it was possible to select data between MARKERS with the keyboard using CONTROL + SHIFT + LEFT or RIGHT ARROW. In SF 8.0 doing this always selects date to the left of the cursor, even when using the RIGHT arrow. It seems that this has something to do with Acid looping which I don't need or use. Can I change this? Is there any way to restore data selection as it was in previous versions of SF? I'm back to using 7.0 because 8.0 data selection slows the edit process too much. This is not a scripting questing, and should probably be asked on the regular Sound Forge forum. But, in any case, I just tried it, and Ctrl+Shift+Left selects data from the current cursor position to the first marker to the left of it. Ctrl+Shift+Right selects from the current cursor position to the first marker to the right. This is the way it is supposed to work. and is exactly the same as Sound Forge 7. Is it possible that you changed the key bindings so that ctrl+shift+right arrow isn't bound to the right command anymore? Go to the Preferences dialog, to the Keyboard tab. There is an edit box labelled "Press new shortcut keys:". Click in that box, and then hit Ctrl+Shift+Right. After you do, the box labelled "Key is also assigned to:" will tell you what the current binding is. It should be Cursor To: Right By Marker tj |
