Hi, I don't know if my problems are caused by an incompatibilty between Acid Pro 6 & my sound card E-MU 1820 M (PCI). So if i need to buy another sound card wich is the best Sound Card (PCI) for ACID PRO 6 (My platform is Win XP Pro) ? Interfaces (PCI & FW) by Echo, Maudio and Presonus have gotten good reviews on this forum. Do a search - there are many threads covering this issue. |

Ditto what drbam suggested. To add, you want a card that's lean and mean and does what it's supposed to do and nothing more, nothing less. I despise bloatware. It will depend on what you're looking for in an interface (what I/Os you'd need and whatnot). Iacobus |

Find a sound card that is know for stable drivers! The drivers are everything! Having spent 6 month fighting bad drivers with yamaha's 01X for 6 months, I ditched it and went back to M-Audio where I had no problems for 3 years prior. My wife now has that old card on a different computer and her's is also running fine. I have had no problems and super tight timing once again. I'm sure there are many excellent cards but I know these three are stable with a properly configured PC. M-Audio RME Presonus |

I struggled through EMU1212 driver problems and ended up with a Frontier Tango24. I am happy. |

no problem with emu 1616m and rme card pci. |
