Haven't seen that yet. However just tonight, Vegas 7.0 hangs when starting up. Gets to "initiallizing UI" note on intro window, then takes 99% CPU and sits there. No disc activity. I'm running WinXP. Very frustrating.
No serious problems using it so for. I think there was one time it hung when I had a bazillion other things going on, so it didn't surprise me. However, I still have a somewhat serious problem. When I exit the program, it sometimes causes the operating system to crash. I've raised this issue before with Vegas 6, offering the fact that Microsoft's debugging claims it was/is a driver problem. Back with Vegas 6, I thought that it might be my video card driver so I removed my ATI All-in-Wonder and replaced it with an nVidia based card. That seemed to solve the problem. as the crash rate dropped dramtically. With Vegas 7, the problem has come back with a vengence. It crashes my operating system more than half the time.
If there's some a driver other than video that's causing this problem, I have no way of determining what it is. If Vegas is the ONLY program that brings up this crash, then pointing at a driver and saying it's a driver problem and not a Vegas problem is suspect. It's more a Vegas problem with a driver. But I digress.
I'm hoping the next iteration of Vegas updates helps resolve this.
For now, I live with a crash situation by closing everything I may have open before exiting the program. Theb, as the system reboots, I go and watch TV.
