I have recently upgraded from Vegas 5.0 to Vegas 7.0 (the Vegas+DVD package), and have a friend I would like to give Vegas 5.0 to. Is that kosher?
A long time ago, when Vegas 5.0 came out and I upgraded from 4.0, I had been told by a Sony representative that it was alright for me to give my 4.0 version to my church (my workplace) for use as long as I wasn't still using it myself at home (the one computer at a time rule).
So...all that to say, am I safe in giving 5.0 to a friend, and if so (just so I have all my bases covered), if he were interested in upgrading at the discounted price to 7.0, would he be eligible?
Just wanting to make sure everything's good to go before I do anything - I understand that with the 4.0 instance, technically, the program never switched hands, as it is still under me, just at my workplace.
Honestly looking out for any problems that I don't want to entangle myself with,
Brandon
