I inserted a URL command marker in a mp3 file. In the parameter field I typed the web address. Then, I saved the file. But, when I played the file usisng the Windows Media Player, the URL typed in the parameter field didn't open. I think the command marker was supposed to open the URL, isn't it? How can I do it work? Thanks, Lawrence |

URL commands are supported only by the Windows Media (wmv or wma) and Real Media formats. So you must render to those formats, MP3 won't work. Also, for security reasons the Windows Media Player has script commands disabled by default. This means the URL command maker still won't work for your rendered WMA file unless you have enabled this in the player (Tools -> Options -> Security tab). Check the online help for more information on command markers. Point the index to "Commands". Message last edited on9/21/2006 6:53:31 PM byForumAdmin. |

I did that sucessfully in ACID. However, in Sound Forge there is a problem: when I try to "save as" a video file to the wmv format, all the command makers desapear. From the File menu, the option "Render as" is not available. What I did after this attempt was: 1. I saved the avi file as an wmv file 2. I inserted the command markers (URL and Text) in the wmv file 3. I saved the wmv file from the file menu - save option Then the command markers worked fine in the Windons Media Player. The problem is that I had to save the file two times instead of one (as I did in ACID, using the menu file - render as option). What do you suggest for solving this problem? Thanks, Lawrence |

What version of Sound Forge are you running? This would be helpful so we can try to reproduce the problem here. |
