I am trying to post sysEx sound information to my ms2000 but acid is unable to open the sysex file. it doesn't give an error message, it actually displays nothing when you open the sysex file..

How are you adding the file to ACID?

A SYSEX only file can only be added as a new track - you cannot drag it to an existing track.

What will happen is that ACID will create the new track and then import all of the SYSEX data as SYSEX Keyframes to the new track. The SYSEX keyframes will be shown automatically.

If you double click on the SYSEX only file in ACID's explorer, then the new track will be created automatically.

1. File open always treats MIDI files as an "Open as new project".
2. Drag from a Windows explorer works as I defined.

It's the offical/original korg sound set file available on korg's website.

I will try the explorer an hour later

Hi,
I tried the explorer.

1- it loaded the sysex info, you can view it by duople clicking the sysex sign
2- when played back, korg reacted only 3 seconds, saying that "now receiving..." but then returned to the main screen. nothing was uploaded.
3- tried it many times on different tempos.
4- the below link is where you can find the file i'm trying to upload:

The mid file is ms2000jg.mid?

If so, I downloaded this, and ACID loads it correctly - a single SYSEX keyframe.

I don't have the MS2000 so I have no way to test whether the data is sent correctly or not.

The file you referenced contains a single large SYSEX buffer.

ACID's SYSEX implemenation is not designed to support this type of SYSEX management or playback. ACID's sysex feature is about sending and controlling not dumping/managing sample sets as this file appears to be providing.

ACID's SYSEX feature set will be reviewed so as to provide for this type of SYSEX functionality for a future version.

Yep, it cannot dump to the instrument.

I think you saw the instructions on korg's site, it says:
"put the file on any sequencer..."

What MIDI interface are you using to send this sysex data to your Korg.

Also, please fill our your systems specs in your profile.

specs..
AMD AthlonXP 2100+
1 Gig memory
m-audio 1010lt sound card
ati radeon 7000 grap. card
and acidpro6b you know
windows xp sp2
