I'm fairly new to working with Acid Pro 6, so forgive me if there's an obvious answer to this -- I just can't seem to find it though. I'm importing audio from a CD. Once I have the audio in my project I want to split the stereo file into 2 seperate mono files on seperate tracks; obviously the left channel would be one track and the right channel the other, each with the ability to be panned. Perhaps someone can tell me how this is done, thanks. Message last edited on9/22/2006 5:41:25 AM byrsooch. |

There's no easy way to do this that I know of. However, you can try soloing the track and then panning the track hard left (make sure you right-click the pan slider and select one of the "Balance" options), set the Loop Region over the clip, then render to a new track (Ctrl+M) using mono. Then do the same but pan the track hard right for the other channel. If you had Sound Forge, this process would be a snap as Sound Forge has tools geared specifically for this kind of task.
