Is there a way to transfer tracks between sessions? Say I have a project and I want to copy those tracks to another project so they show up exactly as I had them. Is there a way to do this? I tried opening up two projects at the same time (which freaks out my digi002, but that is no big deal) and you cannot drag and drop tracks between them. You can copy and paste the track to an empty track, but this is no different from pulling it from the explorer window. This would be a huge help to me, as I always end up with many small projects.

I know that if you highlight the tracks in the track list and copy and paste, just about everything should copy over (like envelopes, FX, etc.) provided the conditions are right.

(For example, if you had a track routed to an assignable FX, and the destination also had assignable FX, everything should copy over. You'd have to, of course, re-tweak any settings you might have had within that FX.)

If I copy the track from one project and try to paste it into another, the paste part is greyed out. Keep in mind I have opened acid up twice to do this. So it looks like there is no way to copy tracks from one project to another. I did notice you can copy the contents of a track from one project and then paste it into a blank track in another project. That might work well for me, I will give it a try tonight.

Hmm...did you try the standard Ctrl+V command to paste the tracks into the destination? (Also be sure the track view has focus. (Alt+0 (that's a zero) is the shortcut.))

works for me using 2 instances of ACID. the only downside i found to this is that if you have the same sample on multiple tracks (i do this a lot) , when pasted in the new project it will combine those tracks into one track.

wow, ctr v works. Why is the paste part greyed out then? Oh, who cares, this is great, thanks Iacobus... now I feel really stupid, stupid but happy.

wait, it doesn't have any of the edits... still

I know the standard Edit > Paste command becomes active, but not the "Paste Track" command in the track list.

Odd it doesn't have any of the edits. Elements like envelopes copy over in their entirety without problems for me. (At least if the conditions are right; see my previous posts.)
