Subject:MIDI Track Key property

Hi,
If I have not missed anything, there is no MIDI track transpozition property in Acid6. I know after the recording you can alter individual clip keys but as far as I observed there is no track transposition present before recording or while performing.

If I am wrong please correct..

Now Imagine this workflow:

1- With my "professional workstation" I want to start a song, and decide the song to be at key D

2- Imagine I will use 5 synths in my project

3- Because I don't have track transposition in my "professional workstation", I get on my bicycle and make a trip in the studio and set all master transpositions of my synths to +2

4- With my bicycle I return to the master keyboard, and start to the song joyfully

5- For a while I record something, then I want to add a couple of parts to a previous song of mine which is at key E

6- Because my "professional workstation" does not have a track transposition property, I happily get on my bicycle and travel the studio to set all synths master trasposition to key E

...

I think people out there think that this is the ideal workflow, or do you think my workflow is flawed ?

Nobody transposing ? Is it year 1984 ?

"..and don't drive fast in the studio on your way to transposing..."

Yes, there are problems - as noted in earlier posts/threads - that ACID 6 is not handling key change and pitch shifts very well.

This will be addressed in an update to ACID 6.

Thanks for the sincerity,

One workaround about the track key problem:

If you are able to transpose on the master keyboard, all midi-outs receive transposed and record transposed. Though you cannot set individual track keys, you can set the global key via controller..
