for some reason my Acid 6.0 and upgrade to .0b will not display the vsti when I insert them. Initially I did not have this problem. I do not have this problem in acid 5 or the same acid 6.0b on my laptop. I think it is some setting I have inadvertently done. this is a problem as I cannot tweek the vsti settings , as all you can see that the vsti is loaded in the mixer. I have hunted thru the menus , but cannot figure out what has happened....

Outside of un installing and re installing , are there any simple work arrounds ?

Hmm...when you insert a soft synth, the soft synth properties window pops up. Did you try double-clicking the soft synth's icon in the Mixer?

Try also seeing if the window is active via View > Soft Synth Properties on the menu bar. (Alt+8 is the keyboard shortcut.) Any active and open windows have a checkmark to the left.

Which VSTi(s) are doing this?

Thanx for the replys.
All VSTi's do this. None of the properties come up. I have B4 , realguitar, Kompact, and a bunch of others. I have tried all the View options , but unfortunately the interfaces do not come up like they usually do, so I cannot change the parameters or choices of instruments. As I say , I don't have this problem in acid 5 on the same computer , or Acid 6 on my laptop.....

My guess is that something is not installed correctly.

I would suggest you competely uninstall ACID 6. This includes deleteing the Sony Setup\ACID directory on your machine.

Then reinstall ACID 6.

If you don't want to do this, then you could try repairing the install. This can be done from the installer as well.

Many thanks for your suggestions.
I uninstalled acid 6 and reloaded it and now it works perfectly.I did not have to delete the Sony setup\acid directory .
