I have heard of nothing except that Vegas 7 will be out in the fall (no word on DVDA) but since blu-ray is made by Sony, one would assume that Madison would incorporate it into its next major update.

The only people who know what will be added for the next version (or the next update) of DVDA are Sony engineers and beta testers (assuming it's in beta testing already), neither of which are going to say a word about it until the day it's released. Whenver that is (most likely the fall). Though information has accidentally slipped out once or twice in the past, it wasn't until a week or two before the software's release.

Anything anyone on the forum says about future versions is pure speculation. That said, many have speculated that the next version will support Blue-ray disc burning. ;-)

I hope they come up with Blu-ray support soon(pref as an update to DVDA 3) as I just bought Vegas+DVD Platinum thinking it would work on my new Blu-ray Vaio and no joy!

Apparently there's a Vegas-7/DVDA-4 bundle on the horizon.

COnsidering that Sony is selling Blu-Print for $50,000 - my guess is that any BD authoring support is going to be very limited at best - probably limited to a "put the disk in and the movie plays" type support. Just my guess though.

even with that we'd have a way to get HD content TO people.

Good news! The firmware update v1.04 has solved the DVDA Studio 3 Blu-ray "Make DVD" button not working issue under build 93 (v3.0b).
