Which MoBo/Chipset is Acid developped/Tested on? Im considering buying a system that matches the ones used for developping the programme. Alex |

There are so many configurations out there that it'd be quite a task to find the so-called "perfect" system. However, I can tell you that on my ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe mobo and Intel 865E chipset, it's been extremely good to me. (Also note that I have my BIOS tweaked. For example, I disabled anything I don't use, like the onboard audio and the parallel port.) Iacobus |

Internally we are very much a Dell house. The Dual Xeon box I have works - and it is what I dev on. Also have a dual Dual Core AMD that is just a screamer. Again, I dev on this box as well. YMMV Peter |

My ASUS A8N-SLI Premium and AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Dual Core have been quite solid with ACID. The PC I built is also very quiet so you can record audio and not hear the fans. The specs are on the PC Equipment page of my web site. ~jr |

When it comes to software, most chips are good (in my experience). What you NEED to be concerned with is which chipset will work with your prefered audio device. A while back M-Audio had issues with VIA chips and Presonus had issues with anything other than VIA and TI....so, pick your audio playback device FIRST and THEN find the most stable mobo. Just my 2 cents, luces |
