I have not seen an official announcement, but I just came across this, on the Sony website. It looks like the ACID Pro 6 Seminar Series is now available, as a 3-DVD disk set:

Also, about 28 minutes of sample videos are up, as well:

I especially liked the Sections & Punch-In Recording videos.

Cheers,

Billy Buck

Thanks! your post just cost me $100 ...
BUT, its exactly what I've been waiting for. I upgraded from Acid 3 to Acid 6 when I saw the multi-track recording possibilities. I've been wanting to learn all the new bells, whistles, and tricks with the A6 and really look forward to "seeing" it all on the new DVDs.....

How long are the DVDs overall? When I think of 3 DVDs, it sounds like a lot of material.

I am not sure about the ACID Pro 6 Seminar Series, but it does seem similarly packaged, as the ACID Pro 5 Seminar Series (It also came with as a multi-DVD disk set). The ACID Pro 5 series was also advertised, as a 3-DVD set, but actually contained (4) DVD's:

DVD's I & II (contained over 3 hours of ACID 5 tutorial videos)
DVD III (contained all the tutorial project files)
DVD IV (contained demos of all the current Sony apps and Loops & Samples Library)

Well worth the $99, IMO.

Cheers,

Billy Buck

Mine arrived here in Perth, West Oz today - I've watched the first disc and it's great - now looking forward to getting stuck into the advanced Midi session.

Is the quality of the video better than the samples? The samples screens were pretty fuzzy for me.

Some screen shots are a little fuzzy but no problem seeing what's necessary - it's NTSC and I'm playing on Pal equipment, so that probably causes a little degradation.

What are NTSC and Pal?

Without getting too technical, which I'm not capable of, NTSC and PAL are two different picture recording/transmission standards. Apart from the different ways they work with video, they also have different resolutions and frame rates US and some other countries use NTSC, Europe and many other countries use PAL or its variations like secam.

Most PAL DVD Players will also play NTSC DVDs, but NTSC manufacturers have not generally returned the compliment, but I believe things are improving.

Not sure that this has ever been an issue for me before and I've viewed 100s of videos on the web. I mean c'mon, this is Sony. No reason for these to appear fuzzy.

Hello World:

I recieved my DVD's -- it is a nice package!
3 DVD's and 1 DEMO DVD loaded with all of the Sony Apps
The narration is good -- but there is an assumption about skill level, this might be an issue for very inexperienced users!

Thank -- you SONY
