I've got this project where I banged out some MIDI tracks and then made a bunch of audio loops from it. I'm trying to delete tracks from the project and every time I do, the whole programs hangs until I force it to quit. Doesn't matter which track I try to delete, or whether it's in a folder or not. And I tried resaving as a different project and still the same thing.

Plus I get a lot of stray MIDI notes that I can't account for when events are back to back. I'll separate the events and no strange note, but put them together and there's something triggering a real low note. Weird.

And this is with Acid Pro 6, using only the Kompact Acid Edition sampler.

What do you mean by events that are back-to-back? ACID Events or MIDI Note events?

So if you have these same back to back events, other VSTi or the DLS synth play correctly?

Sounds similar to my issue in 6.0a with midi segments, only with audio...

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the reply, I noticed the upgrade after I posted...haven't downloaded yet but I'll give it a try and see if that helps.

As for the MIDI notes triggering, it's when two MIDI clips are back to back. If there edges touch, I get an extra note...if I pull them apart by a quarter note or whatever, the sound disappears. It could be an issue with Kompakt, I haven't tried any other synths on the same parts to see if it still happens. I'll give that a whirl when I get a minute.

And thanks Vince, I don't get any error message, just a hanging program, but I didn't try deleting any MIDI from the project yet, just the loops i made, so I'll give that a try and see what happens.

The extra note is arbitary or somehow related to what is at the end/beginning of the two events?

The extra note is in the same voice as the other events, but it's at a different pitch from all the other notes in the events. And it's the same note each time. I've zoomed in as far as it would go to see if I could see any tiny slices of a stray event in the MIDI roll, but nothing shows up. Funny thing is it usually sounds pretty cool, but not always...

Also, I've upgraded now to 6.0b and am still unable to delete events from this project. Doesn't matter if I hit delete, select it from the drop down or the right-click menu, program just hangs and hangs.

I'm gonna try saving the project as an acd-zip file and see if that makes any difference.

Ok, from an acd-zip of the project it lets me delete the tracks no problem. I dunno what the deal is/was, but at least I have a work-around now.

And the MIDI thing...I'll try to find a good example and send you a simple project with it.

Is this unable to delete events with audio and MIDI events or only one or the other?
