Yes, it adapts VST’s to work in DirectX hosts. Since ACID supports VST’s there is no need to use it unless you are running a very old version of ACID that only supports DirectX. It works, but you’d probably be better off upgrading ACID than buying the adapter. ~jr |

I have Cakewalk Project5 which comes with the vst adapter. By accident my VST's in ACID pro 5 were showing up in the list a second time - once in native vst form, and once as wrapped dxi's from the wrapper. I had been using the wrapped vst's and upon rendering, I'd get weird pops and clicks and distortions on the tracks that I had wrapped vst's running. Took me a while to figure out the cause. I'd recommend not using a wrapper. |

If you must use a wrapper (for whatever reason) Cake's is not the best out there. Get Directixer! and be happy. Jack |
