Subject:Acid 6 and MCU - Controller Issues

Hello,

I've just picked up an MCU, plugged it in, turned on the preferences in ACID, selected the External Control option and the faders starting flying.

The problem I am having, and it just might be my newbie-ness, is that when I hit the PLAY button on the MCU, it starts playing - faders work, panning - good. When I hit stop and hit PLAY again - nothing happens. None of the Transport Controls work unless I hit Play on ACID using the Mouse - then it kicks in again.

When I check the settings using Preferences in ACID - sometimes it reads as
"MCU active: 8 controllable channels". Then I check it again and it reads "MCU not detected or off line". It seems to be kicking in and out of working/recognizing the controller.

I have an M-Audio Midisport for the Midi.

Any suggestions on what the problem is and how to correct it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Jesse

Are you using the ACID 6.0a update?

Please fill out your system specs.

What type of audio hardware are you using? What drivers are you using with ACID?

Hi Peter,

Thanks - you actually reminded me to upgrade my version to 6a.
One I did that - everything seems to be working very well.
Cheers

I was hoping that was all it was. We made some fixes in 6.0a for the MCU and external control in general.

Keep us posted if there are any other issues that crop up.

Peter
